Change or Reset Your Password

Salem account passwords expire in less than a year. Please observe the warning emails about your impending password expiration to avoid a delays.

If your password is expired and you haven't previously used any of the self service password reset options (below), please email help@salem.edu and IT will help to restore your access.

Password Self Service Options

1. Change Password - using this before expiration will save you time.
2. Reset Password - if your password is expired, and you've already used option 1) "Change Password" before.

Password Complexity

Your password must:

• be at least 9 characters long
• not have been used before
• not contain your username, example: suzi.salem’s password cannot include Suzi, suZI, SALEM, salem, etc..
• include
  • UPPER CASE CHARACTER(s)
  • lower case character(s)
  • number(s)
  • symbol(s), some examples: $#%!@*_^
